EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 2023
The City of Donalsonville has adopted a new Ordinance the defines and prohibits nuisance animals and clarifies the procedures for the keeping and treatment of dogs.
- Any animal at-large will be deemed a nusance animal.
- Habitually noisy animals are prohibited to be defined as excessive barking or howling for a period of 15 continous minutes.
- Outlines procedures for correcting a nuisance animal situation.
- Limits the manner and method of tethering a dog.
- Restricts the number of dogs at any one residential location to four (4) dogs.
- Prohibits the keeping of dogs at vacant residences.
